Whales Need Your HelpYour support allows us to communicate whales on their scale to under served audiences primarily living in whaling nations. 2009 has been our most productive year thus far with the he beginning of our whaling nation exhibitions in Norway and the resumption of our field work after a two year absence. Our current collection has a full-time international exhibition schedule for 2010, which includes Tokyo, Japan. At present our field work once again remains on hold and we are working to raise support to begin documenting additional whale species for our exhibitions. Whale species that generally do not receive sufficient media exposure, due to the high costs involved to work with species who are known to be quite shy of vessels and people. As a result many whale species remain out of our collective awareness and concern for their plight. It is our aim to not only document and share species who are hunted, but to also include species who suffer from other activities including ship strikes, fishing gear entanglements, and lethal noise pollution all that occur within our own country in the United States. When this body of work is complete it will be exhibited in Washington D.C. to share with the policy makers and their children. Personal DonationsThank you for considering making a donation to MMCTA.
